Mount Alma is a winding stretch of road in Hindmarsh Valley, South Australia, between Yankalilla and Victor Harbor.
Get yourself in the right spot, and you can see each of the 160 competitors cover the entire 1.6km run, or move around the spectator areas to see the cars from all angles.
Reaching some spectator points will require a walk up the hill, but the start line is a great spot to see the cars up close and then watch and listen as they are launched straight at the steep incline before the first corner
A canteen will be running all weekend, with proceeds of the barbeque going to the Variety Club through the Variety Club Bash competitors. Live timing will be displaying competitor times and rankings throughout both days, and entry to the event and parking are free.
As all spectator areas are on private property, no dogs or alcohol are permitted at the event.
Competition starts at 11:30am on Saturday 31st March, and at 9:00am on Sunday 1st April, running until 5pm both days.
At 3pm on Sunday, the Top 12 Shootouts begin. The 12 fastest 2WD competitors and the 12 fastest 4WD competitors over the weekend in will take one "make or break" run along the Mile. Based only on this one run, the fastest 6 in each group are decided, and will run again, to decide the fastest 3. The fastest 3 in each category will then run off to decide the winner.
How Do I Get There?
